MAAX wins an Excellence Award for its new Mechanix M2 shower door

Lachine, Quebec, Canada, June 1, 2010 – Last May 27-29, Montreal hosted the Montreal International Interior Design Show (SIDIM). Many exhibitors were on hand to showcase their new products. MAAX Bath Inc. proved no exception to the rule, unveiling its new shower doors that drew rave reviews from all concerned, as evidenced by its Mechanix M2 shower door which won the Excellence Award in the New product – Bathrooms category.

These awards and bursaries aim to recognize the accomplishments of designers, architects, manufacturers, agents and distributors, business personalities, government representatives, journalists and international guests. With this in mind, many prizes were awarded in various categories by a jury of some 25 members that included designers, architects, journalists and other stakeholders in this field.

Mechanix M2 has the judges spellbound

Exclusive to MAAX Collection, the Mechanix M2 shower door relies on a technology that is similar to that of a suspended train. The glass is suspended to stainless steel support brackets linked to a double ball bearing system. Its 10MM thick tempered glass is the optimal solution for a shower door.
